The guest for this forum was Dr. Mark Wessels, executive director of
the International Network for Religion and Animals (INRA). INRA is an
ecumenical organization, founded in the mid-1980s by Catholic laywoman
Dr. Virginia Bee.
Dr. Wessels posed these questions to John Rankin:
- If all things belong to Christ as written in Colossians 1:15-20, what
moral
responsibility do we have to the non-human creation?
- What is the remedy for cruelty to animals?
- What practical and spiritual action can we take now to prepare for
“the peaceable kingdom” prophesied in Isaiah 11:6-9?
