Dr. Ed Buckner is Executive Director of the Council for Secular Humanism in Buffalo, New York. He serves as editor of its Free Inquiry magazine, and speaks frequently and passionately on church and state issues. Dr. Buckner holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Georgia State University. was raised as a secular humanist, an agnostic Unitarian prior to his conversion
to a biblical faith in 1967. He holds graduate degrees in theology from
Gordon-Conwell and Harvard, and is author of the 3-volume set First
the Gospel, Then Politics. He hosts Mars Hill Forums on university
campuses and other venues across the country, and is president of the
